Award Winning Work

CWM’s excellence in die casting is recognized with numerous awards from the North American Die Casting Association (NADCA). Here are two examples of our work in the sports and leisure industry:

  • The central housing for an advanced spotting scope received an Honorable Mention for magnesium die casting. Produced for a leading manufacturer of high-performance sports optics, the specifications called for lightweight portability, absolute ruggedness, and 100% waterproof construction. The housing is made by CWM as a magnesium hot-chamber die casting, weighing just 8.0 oz. (226.8 gm) with thin-wall sections as narrow as 0.039 in. (1.0 mm). 
  • An aluminum archery riser earned the Award of Excellence for a new compound bow developed for young archers. CWM optimized the die casting design to reduce post-machining operations and production costs. Additionally, working closely with our painting partner, special racking was designed to prevent paint accumulation in critical areas. CWM’s team expedited the design and manufacturing processes, ensuring the customer’s die casting product was released in time for the season.
