Engineering Project Manager

Manages the introduction of new projects from conception through release to manufacturing. Daily duties also include supporting daily manufacturing issues pertaining to engineering.

Essential Functions

  1. After the APQP meeting, contact the customer to discuss the part/casting requirements.
  2. Coordinate customer part design with customer, designer, toolmaker, CWM personnel, and suppliers.
  3. Oversee the design and construction of die cast dies, trim tools.
  4. Work with production to resolve problems, improve processes, or perform studies.
  5. Hold design review meetings to receive feedback from production personnel.
  6. Coordinate sampling of tooling and submission of castings for first article inspection.
  7. Resolve discrepancies of dimensional and cosmetic issues in order to receive approval of tooling.

Maintenance Mechanic

Responsible for maintenance, installation, effective evaluation, and repair of production equipment and infrastructure.

Essential Functions

  1. Effectively evaluates machine performance and performs or recommends repairs. (W.I. 10.18.01)
  2. Performs preventive maintenance.
  3. Completes repairs on infrastructure. (W.I. 10.09.11)
  4. Troubleshoots and diagnoses electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic deficiencies of production equipment with some supervision.
  5. Welds and follows safe welding practices (W.I.’s 16.09.20, 16.09.21).
  6. Adheres to CWM’s Cultural Pillars (Maintain a positive attitude; Show respect for others; Meet commitments; Maintain transparency; Do not cater to rank).

Automation Technician

The CNC Engineering team is responsible for overseeing all departmental engineering, tooling, and automation activities.  This includes fixture design, fixture fabrication, machine setups, and automation cell development and maintenance.

Essential Functions

  1. Ability to operate and set up CNC machining centers.
  2. Assists in the design and implementation of new automation cells.
  3. Maintains and troubleshoots all automation cells in the CNC, Machining, and Assembly areas.
  4. Collaborates with shift supervisors to provide coverage for all automation cells.
  5. Review all existing automation cells on a periodic basis looking for opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce operator support.
  6. Document all automation job processes.
  7. Assists with machine setups.
  8. Provides support to machine operators.
  9. Assists with job process adjustments.
  10. Develop & maintain shop floor support material, e.g. job packets and machining reference manual.

Electrical Fabrication Technician

Responsible for installation, maintenance, programming, and troubleshooting of automation and other production equipment.

Essential Functions

  1. Installs and wires automation equipment.
  2. Programs robots and provides training for automation equipment.
  3. Troubleshoots and diagnoses electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic deficiencies of production equipment.
  4. Interprets and utilizes electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic drawings of production equipment.
  5. Operates and evaluates performance of production equipment; and corrects deficiencies.
  6. Welds and follows safe welding practices (W.I.’s 16.09.20, 16.09.21).

CNC Maintenance Technician

The CNC Maintenance team is responsible for overseeing all departmental maintenance-related activities, which include machine cleaning, PM schedules, troubleshooting machine alarms/issues, and overall shop cleanliness.

Essential Functions

  1. Oversees and executes the preventive maintenance schedule.
  2. Maintains all CNC equipment to optimize machine uptime.
  3. Provides general maintenance support throughout the department.
  4. Coordinates ordering of coolant and machine oils with the purchasing team.
  5. Directs CNC Janitor in their daily activities.
  6. Oversees all outside service contractors, ensuring that they follow all CWM safety policies.
  7. Assists the production team in making sure all workstations have the necessary tools for each machine.
  8. Operates a CNC machine as needed.
  9. Performs safety checklist, maintains waste log, and completes SPCC form.
