Trim Press Operator – (1st and 2nd shift)

Job Purpose

Operates machinery for trimming the excess material from the parts. Inspects and packages the product. Sets up trim dies and machines, and assists others with the task.

Essential Functions

  1. Sets up and operates all presses, using safety procedures.
  2. Consistently meets production goals.
  3. Detects and solves problems related to the trim tool and press.
  4. Submits samples to inspectors.
  5. Adheres to CWM’s Cultural Pillars (Maintain a positive attitude; Show respect for others; Meet commitments; Maintain transparency; Do not cater to rank).

Additional Responsiblities

  1. Communicates effectively with die caster and line inspector to maintain quality levels.
  2. Performs other manual operations as necessary.
  3. Clans and lubricates trim tool and press.
  4. Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  5. Assists other Trim Press Operators with training and troubleshooting. 
  6. Run die cast machine as required.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned. 

Education, Experience, and Competencies

  1. 2 years of trim die or other machine experience.
  2. Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  3. Understands Quality Policy, Environmental Policy, and Safety Policies.
