Assembler/Machine Operator

Job purpose

Responsible for performing assembly operations in compliance with customer specifications. Conducts visual and dimensional inspections.

Essential Functions

  1. Maintains established rates consistently.
  2. Operates machinery effectively and safely.
  3. Uses appropriate measuring tools to perform dimensional inspections.
  4. Uses proper tools and components to assemble customer parts correctly.
  5. Adheres to CWM’s Cultural Pillars (Maintain a positive attitude; Show respect for others; Meet commitments; Maintain transparency; Do not cater to rank). 

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Maintain a clean, safe work area.
  2. Maintain weekly inventory of components, as assigned.
  3. May train new employees as assigned.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.
  5. Acts as backup in the following areas:
    1. Daily review customers new order inquiry using Odyssey.
    2. Weekly maintenance sub-assembly component inventory.
    3. Provide component purchasing information to buyer based on customer orders and component inventory.
    4. Support Customer Care/Fulfillment Team Leader as needed.

Education, Experience and Competencies

  1. Minimum two years of high school.
  2. Capable of following verbal and written work instructions.
  3. Understands Quality Policy, Environmental Policy and Safety Policies.
