CWM Recycling Statistics – March 2023

In March, CWM recycled the following to Imperial Recycling:

  • 159 lbs. of plastic
  • 1,413 lbs. of cardboard
  • 2,657 lbs. of wood
  • 111 lbs. of paper

We also recycled 24 pounds of Styrofoam last month – while this may not seem like a lot, it’s significant because it translates to a 6-foot by 4-foot cube of Styrofoam. This was taken to a drop-off location in Western Springs.

Our CNC team also recycled 202 pounds of carbide and high-speed steel tooling that had accumulated over the past year. Lastly, our partner Groot picked up 6 cubic yards of mixed recyclables. This included roughly 575 pounds of cans, plastic bottles, paper, etc. collected from the blue recycling containers around the facility.

In March of 2023, CWM was able to divert a combined total of 5,141 pounds of material away from the Landfill!
